What is Ecmo
Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, also known as extracorporeal life support, is an extracorporeal technique of providing prolonged cardiac and respiratory support to persons whose heart and lungs are unable to provide an adequate amount of gas exchange or perfusion to sustain life.
Acute circulatory support system Driven by Full MagLev Flow Technology, the CentriMag Pump includes a free-floating magnetically levitated rotor for a contact-free environment. This innovative technology results in excellent hemodynamics, which can lead to minimized blood stagnation, friction and shear stress.
The CentriMag System functions as:
- Part of a cardiopulmonary circuit for periods up to 6 hours
- Extracorporeal bypass circuit for periods up to 30 days, to support the left, right, or both ventricles of the heart
The CentriMag System includes both pediatric and adult pump options, producing flows up to 1.5 LPM for pediatric, and 10 LPM for adult
